Coober Pedy is situated 850km or 9 hours drive north of Adelaide and 687km or 7 hours drive south of Alice Springs. This makes it a perfect place to stop for a few days if you're travelling between the two. To drive from Adelaide to Coober Pedy head north to Port Augusta on the Augusta Highway, and then take the Stuart Highway.
